The Central Puget Sound Youth Transportation Alliance was founded in 2025 by Derek Liu and Eason Wang to represent youth voices in local and regional transit planning. What began as a small effort to speak up at community meetings quickly evolved into a youth-led initiative dedicated to better public transportation access, equity, and long-term planning in the Puget Sound region.
Today, CSYTA is an active youth-led organization focused on transit advocacy through media, public outreach, and civic engagement. We attend board meetings, produce educational content, and work to elevate the voices of students and young riders across the region. With a growing network of members, we’re just getting started — and we’re serious about making transit better for everyone.
